How a delivery price is calculated
ZypRoute charges by the mile for the whole trip the driver makes for you:
- Driver to pickup — from the assigned driver’s location to your pickup address.
- Pickup to drop-off — the delivery itself.
- Return to pickup — the drive back to where the job started.
The total miles are multiplied by the per-mile rate for the vehicle you choose, and any road or bridge tolls on the route are added at cost. Your quote lists the miles, the rate and the tolls separately, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Example
A cargo-van job with 3 miles to the pickup, 10 miles to the drop-off and 10 miles back is 23 miles × $2.00 = $46.00, plus tolls if the route has any. Rates shown are our current standard rates; the price in your quote is the one you pay.
What every delivery includes
- Live tracking from the moment your package is picked up until it is delivered.
- Signed waybill — the sender signs at pickup and the recipient signs at drop-off; download the PDF from your account.
- Vetted drivers who have submitted their license, insurance and vehicle details and been approved.
- Secure payment with PayPal or a card. If no driver accepts your delivery, you are refunded in full.
- Coverage up to $100 per package for loss, theft or destruction. Buy third-party insurance for anything worth more.
Permits and oversize loads
If your shipment needs a permit, mark it when you book and hand the driver two copies at pickup — one travels with the shipment and one stays with the driver.
